IIM Visakhapatnam has begun a management course tailored for E5-level executives of NTPC-Simhadri, aiming to bolster their critical thinking and managerial abilities for future leadership roles due to changes and technological advancements.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management, IIM Visakhapatnam has launched the 'Foundation Course In General Management' for E5 level executives of NTPC-Simhadri. This program is designed to enhance these working professionals' critical thinking and managerial capabilities.

Sanjay Kumar Sinha, the head of the NTPC-Simhadri project, was the guest of honor for the event. During the IIM Visakhapatnam program, he emphasized the significance of management training for future managerial and leadership positions.

He also highlighted the importance of becoming a "learning organization" and adapting to change. Sinha stressed the need for participants to stay updated with technological advancements and incorporate managerial skills to enhance workplace productivity.

Expressing her gratitude to the program directors and the management team at IIM Visakhapatnam, Ruma De Sharma, the Head of HR at NTPC-Simhadri, commended the unique courses they have designed and shared her personal experience attending similar programs, which significantly enhanced her skill set.

Prof. MV Anuradha, the Dean of Administration at IIM Visakhapatnam, highlighted the value of customized entrepreneurship programs like these in nurturing the future entrepreneurial leaders of organizations. Program Director Prof. Saroj Kumar Pani provided an overview of the planned sessions, and Prof. Vishal Singh Patyal, another program director, expressed gratitude to IIMV Director Prof. M. Chandrashekhar for supporting the program's ideation and to the faculty members who will be leading sessions on various topics throughout the program.

As per the officials at IIM Visakhapatnam, this program combines fundamental skill development approaches with advanced leadership qualities to prepare future leaders for the demands of a rapidly evolving business landscape. The program has attracted participation from twenty officers from NTPC Ltd.
