IIM-Vizag Rolls Out 'Foundation Course in General Management' for NTPC-Simhadri Executives; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIM-Vizag) has rolled out a specialized 'foundation course in general management' tailored for E5 level executives at NTPC-Simhadri. This program is designed to enhance the critical thinking abilities and managerial skills of these working professionals.

NTPC-Simhadri head of project Sanjay Kumar Sinha was the chief guest for the programme. He explained the significance of management training for future managerial and leadership roles. He spoke about the importance of "learning organisation" and change management. 

Further, he added that the participants need to update themselves with the advancement of technology and inculcate managerial skills to improve workplace productivity.

Sanjay Kumar Sinha, the Head of Project at NTPC-Simhadri, graced the program as the chief guest and delivered valuable insights. He highlighted the pivotal role of management training in preparing professionals for future managerial and leadership responsibilities. 

Highlighting the importance of fostering a "learning organization" culture and effective change management, Sinha also stressed the need for participants to stay updated with technological advancements and nurture their managerial skills to enhance workplace productivity.

Extending her gratitude to the program directors and IIM Vizag's management for crafting these distinctive courses, Ruma De Sharma, the Head of HR at NTPC-Simhadri, shared her personal experiences of attending similar programs, which significantly contributed to enhancing her skillset.

Professor MV Anuradha, the Dean of Administration at IIM-Vizag, expressed that these tailored programs play a pivotal role in aiding organizations to nurture the entrepreneurial leaders of tomorrow.

Program Director Professor Saroj Kumar Pani provided a concise overview of the forthcoming sessions. Additionally, Program Director Professor Vishal Singh Patyal extended gratitude to IIM-Vizag faculty such as Director Professor M. Chandrashekhar for supporting the program's development and acknowledged the faculty members responsible for conducting sessions across various topics during the program.

As per IIM Vizag officials, this program seamlessly integrates fundamental competence-building methods with advanced leadership skills, perfectly aligned to prepare future leaders to confront the ever-evolving challenges of a dynamic business landscape. The program is currently being attended by twenty officers from NTPC Ltd.
