IIT Delhi Researchers Develop 'MechAnalyzer' Software

New Delhi: The researchers and scientists of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi have developed a software named 'MechAnalyzer' to make engineering students understand the construction of machines and robotic devices in an easier way.

The software was developed by the mechatronics department of IIT Delhi. The Pune-based company SVR InfoTech and IIT Delhi also entered into a contract by signing for the software's authorised sale and technical support.

Anil Wali, managing director of FITT at IIT Delhi, and Vinod Atpadkar, Chief Executive Officer of SVR InfoTech, signed the agreement.

According to the News, the "MechAnalyzer" software has animation tools to help students learn topics like inversions by animating the actions of mechanisms like 4/5/6 bar linkages, cams, and gears.

The images have been created in a way that will grab students' attention and facilitate them in their learning process.

The software was also developed by a large number of external interns, including Rajeevlochana Chittawadigi from Bangalore's Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

Speaking about the launch of the software, SK Saha, a professor in the mechanical engineering department, the impetus towards signing for Mechanalyzer software after the signing of the RoboAnalyzer software in the year 2022 is a strong indicator of the industry's belief towards the indigenous software development.
