IIT Guwahati Re-opens GATE 2026 Correction Window for 1-Day; Exam Schedule Out

IIT Guwahati released the GATE 2026 Paper Schedule @gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The exam will be held in two shifts- Forenoon Shift (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and Afternoon Shift (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM).

GATE 2026 Form Correction Re-opened; Paper Schedule Out

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) has reopened the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 application correction window for one final day after several requests from the candidates. Candidates can make changes to their forms today, November 18, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 11:59 PM.

IIT Guwahati has also released the detailed schedule for the GATE 2026. The exam will be held nationwide on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 as a computer-based test. According to the paper schedule, the exam will be conducted in two sessions each day- the Forenoon Shift from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the Afternoon Shift from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

GATE 2026 Form Correction Re-opened

IIT Guwahati announced the re-opening of the GATE 2026 form correction window through the official X (formerly Twitter) handle on November 17, 2025. Students who find errors their application form can make changes through their GOAPS portal. This limited-time window is crucial for applicants to ensure their details are accurate before the exams, highlighting IIT Guwahati’s efforts to facilitate the smooth conduct of this highly competitive national-level entrance exam.

Based on requests from several candidates, the application correction window will be opened from 10:00 am, November 18, 2025, until 11:59 pm, November 18, 2025.

Earlier, GATE 2026 form correction window was open from October 28, 2025 to November 10, 2025. Registered students were allowed to make edits to their GATE 2026 application form through the official website.

The application form correction link is active through GOAPS Portal on GATE 2026 official website @gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can use their Enrollment ID and Password to make the required changes in their submitted application form.

GATE 2026 Registration remained open from August 28, 2025 to October 7, 2025 (without late fees). For late applications, the window was available till October 13 with payment of a late fee. IIT Guwahati will now release GATE 2026 Admit Card in the first week of January 2026.

IIT Guwahati is the organizing institute for GATE 2026 and is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the exam, including releasing the official notification, syllabus, application forms, and conducting the exam itself.
