IIT JAM 2026 Admit card postponed

Recently, the IIT Bombay, an organising institute of the Joint Admission Test for Master's (JAM), has announced that the 2026 Admit card release date has been postponed.

Through IIT JAM scores, candidates get admission into master's in M.Sc, M.Sc. (Tech.), MS (Research), M.Sc. - M.Tech. Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc. - PhD, M.Sc. - PhD. Dual Degree, Integrated‐ PhD (I-PhD) programs to the top 22 Indian Institute of Technology in India, including IIT Bhilai, Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Dharwad, Hyderabad, Guwahati, and others.

JAM 2026 is being conducted by IIT Bombay, IISc Bengaluru, and six IITs comprising IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee. JAM 2026 is open to candidates of all nationalities with no age limit. Applicants who have completed or are appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree in 2026 are eligible to apply.

After qualifying for the JAM 2026 examination, candidates can directly approach these admitting institutions, or admitting institutes (IITs & IISc), and directly use their score for PG seats via the central JOAPS portal, while result-sharing institutes (NITs, CFTIs, IISERs, etc) use the JAM score but conduct their separate counselling.
