IIT Roorkee Extends GATE 2025 Correction Window for Provisional Candidates till March 15

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has opened the window for correction of mistakes in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 application forms. Earlier, provisional candidates could correct their flaws by March 12, 2025, to prevent the withholding of their results. However, the correction window has been extended till March 15, 2025. candidates must log in through the GOAPS portal to edit their details marked as defect.

Official Announcement and Procedure

As per an official notice on the website, IIT Roorkee has requested provisional candidates to log in via the GOAPS portal (gate2025.iitr.ac.in) and rectify their defects before the deadline. The official statement said:

The defect rectification for provisional/ marked as defect is now open upto 15th March 2025. Provisional/ marked as defect candidates are instructed to login through GOAPS portal and clear their defects to avoid result withheld.

Contestants can log on to the official site and verify their application status. Discrepancies in documents, photo, signature, and other details should be rectified within the provided time limit.

GATE 2025 Answer Key and Objection Process

The GATE 2025 answer key was published on February 27, 2025, along with the response sheet. Candidates were also allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key until March 1, 2025. The final answer key will be released after considering the challenges filled by candidates. The GATE 2025 result will be determined by this final version.

GATE 2025 Exam Analysis and Structure

The GATE 2025 test was held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, in two sessions. The overall difficulty level was evaluated as moderate with a large proportion of questions drawn from previous-year question papers (PYQs).
