IITTM Gwalior PhD Admission Schedule

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), Gwalior, is currently accepting applications for its PhD admission for 2025. Interested candidates must submit their online applications by March 25, 2025. The entrance exam is set for April 13, 2025, followed by the personal interview on April 20, 2025.

IITTM Gwalior PhD Admission 2025: Eligibility

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Tourism, Hotel Management, Commerce & Management, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized Indian or foreign university with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
  • Possess an equivalent qualification from a foreign institution accredited by an authorized body in its home country.
  • A 5% relaxation in marks applies to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), Differently-Abled, and EWS candidates as per government norms.

Additional Notes

  • 10% of the semester fee (excluding caution money) is allocated to IITTM.
  • INR10,000 of the examination fee is payable to JNU at the time of thesis submission.

IITTM Gwalior PhD Selection Process

  • Admission is based on an entrance test (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage) conducted by IITTM.
  • The number of candidates shortlisted for the interview will be at least three per available seat.
  • JRF (UGC-NET) holders are exempted from the entrance test and will be given priority in admission, appearing directly for the interview.
  • Candidates with NET/SLET/GATE qualifications will receive additional marks, but must secure at least 50% in the entrance test (excluding bonus marks) to qualify for the interview.
  • A 5% relaxation in entrance exam scores is granted to reserved category candidates.
