The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has cancelled the Class 10 Hindi (Course A & B) and Science board exams held on February 18 and 20, 2025, due to a paper leak. The re-exam dates will be announced later.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially cancelled the Class 10 board exams for Hindi (Course A and Course B) and Science due to allegations of paper leaks. The Hindi exams, conducted on February 18, 2025, and the Science exam, held on February 20, 2025, have been scrapped following reports that question papers were leaked on social media before the examinations. Official Announcement and Re-Examination Plans

In an official notice released today, the Council confirmed the cancellation, stating:

"This is to inform all students, parents, concerned principals, center superintendents, and relevant officials regarding the Annual Secondary Examination 2025 that, in light of the information received through viral social media posts and newspapers, the Hindi (Course A & Course B) exam held on 18.02.2025 in the first shift and the Science exam held on 20.02.2025 in the first shift have been canceled. The date for the re-examination of these subjects will be announced later."

JAC has assured students that new dates for the rescheduled exams will be announced soon.

Paper Leak Allegations and Investigation

Reports of the Hindi question paper leak surfaced on February 18, when student leader Devendra Mahato alleged that the exam paper had been circulating on social media hours before the test. He raised the issue with JAC Secretary Jayant Mishra, providing screenshots of leaked questions.

Similarly, on February 20, suspicions regarding the Science paper arose. JAC Chairman disclosed that the question paper packet, which was unsealed on the exam day, matched a version that had already gone viral on social media. Upon verification, JAC confirmed the authenticity of the leaked papers and took swift action to cancel the examinations.

Concerns Over Exam Security

This incident has raised serious concerns about the security of the ongoing board examinations. The Jharkhand police and education department are expected to launch an investigation to identify the source of the leaks and prevent further misconduct. Meanwhile, students and parents await clarity on the revised examination schedule.
