Admission to all programs offered by various faculties and centers of Jamia Millia Islamia will be based on merit, determined through an entrance test conducted by JMI. The admission fee for the test is INR 1,000.

Jamia Millia Islamia has released the dates for online admission forms for programs with entrance tests conducted by JMI (excluding B.Tech, B.Arch, BDS, and courses listed in Annexure-VI). Admissions for these programs may also include an interview and/or other components, where applicable. For B.Tech., admission will be based on candidates' final ranks in JEE Main 2025, while for B.Arch., it will be determined by final ranks in NATA 2025, conducted by the Council of Architecture. Additionally, applicants will have the option to edit their submitted forms from April 12 to April 14, 2025.

Candidates must have a Secondary School/High School Certificate from a recognized board with at least 45% marks in Science and Mathematics or PCM, excluding Bioscience. Alternatively, those with a Senior Secondary School Certificate/Intermediate or equivalent qualification from a recognized board must have a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate in Science and Mathematics or PCM, as applicable. For graduate-level courses, applicants must hold a B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., or an equivalent degree relevant to the chosen course with at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination. Additionally, certain programs require a Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with the relevant subject.
