Jamia Millia Islamia Introduces Engineering Programs; Admission Based on JEE Result

New Delhi: On March 2, 2024, Jamia Millia Islamia launched a series of innovative, self-financed BTech programs with the admission criteria based on JEE main score.

In addition to these programmes, JMI also introduced courses such as BTech in Electrical & Computer Engineering, MTech in Data Sciences, BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (Data Sciences), and BTech in Electronics (VLSI design and technology)

The annual cost for these self-financed programs is INR 1,50,000 for BTech students and INR 54,000 for MTech students. Application forms can be accessed on the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia, jmicoe.in.

Programme Details

The BTech Electrical and Computer Engineering program aims to equip engineers with the skills to enhance the security and efficiency of computer systems. Emphasising areas such as communication networks and internet-connected systems, the program also addresses optimising technologies like smart grids and self-driving cars, contributing to advancements in these fields.

The BTech program in electronics (VLSI Design and Technology) imparts knowledge and skills for designing small electronic devices and chips explicitly made to India. This program empowers students to create cutting-edge technology within the country. Classes address industry requirements, ensuring graduates are equipped with sought-after skills comparable to those of renowned institutions globally.

Similarly, the BTech Computer Science and Engineering program, focusing on data sciences, educates students on programming, algorithms, databases, data mining, statistics, and machine learning.

The MTech Data Sciences program delves into advanced studies, combining domain-specific knowledge, computer science, and statistics to extract insights from data.
