JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Likely to be Rescheduled Due to Lok Sabha Elections

New Delhi: IIT Madras is expected to reschedule the JEE Advanced Exam 2024, which is scheduled to be held on May 26, 2024. The exam date may be postponed in light of potential election-related concerns as Lok Sabha Election Phase 6 will take place just a day after the entrance exam, on May 25, 2024.

The Lok Sabha Phase 6 election includes 57 constituencies in seven states. IIT Madras, the conducting authority of JEE Advanced 2024 is likely to face logistical challenges while conducting the national-level exam such as travel challenges and commute disruption. It is expected that due to election preparations, JEE Advanced 2024 might be held in June 2024.

JEE Advanced 2024 Important Dates

JEE Advanced 2024 Expected to be Postponed till June 2024

Due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the JEE Advanced 2024 exam is scheduled to be postponed until June 2024. Almost 2.5 lakh candidates will be taking the JEE Advanced 2024 exam this year. The Lok Sabha election process will end on June 1, 2024. 

Candidates must note that IIT Madras has not yet published an official announcement regarding the postponement of the JEE Advanced 2024 Exam. Any changes to the JEE Advanced 2024 exam schedule will be informed via its official website at jeeadv.ac.in. 

As of now, the exam dates for many national level examinations such as the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2024 conducted by UPSC as well as CA Intermediate and CA Final conducted by ICAI have been delayed due to Lok Sabha Elections in the country.
