JEE Main 2025 January 24 Shift 2 Paper Analysis
JEE Main Shift 2 ended, a detailed analysis is provided below:
- Mathematics – The paper was lengthy and difficult. The topics with more weightage in the Mathematics paper Differential Equations, Probability, Vectors and 3D, Determinants, Area, and Matrices.
- Chemistry –The paper was moderate to easy. More questions were from Organic Chemistry. The topics with more weightage in the Chemistry paper were Bonding, Mole Concepts, Practical Organic.
- Physics – The paper was easy to moderate with more weightage on Current, Magnetism, Modern Physics, Cylinders, Semiconductors, and Gravitation. The paper was easier than Shift 1.

Exam Day Guidelines for JEE Main 2025
To ensure a smooth exam experience, follow these essential guidelines for JEE Main 2025 exam:
Before the Exam:
- Visit your designated exam center a day in advance to avoid any confusion.
- Arrive at the center at least 30 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on your admit card. Late entry is strictly prohibited.
- Carry essential documents, including a clear printout of your admit card and a valid photo ID.
On the Exam Day:
- Ensure you write your name and roll number on the rough sheets provided, and return them to the invigilator before leaving.
- Accurately fill out the attendance sheet with your signature, left-hand thumb impression, and photograph in the specified areas.
- Stay composed, and prioritize sufficient rest the night before to perform your best.

What to Carry to the Exam Center
- Admit card with Self-Declaration form (printed on A4 size paper)
- A transparent ballpoint pen
- An additional photograph (for the attendance sheet)
- Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
- Transparent water bottle
Note: Diabetic students may carry limited items like fruits and sugar tablets. Packed foods are strictly prohibited.

This year, the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams are from January 22 to 30. The Paper 1 exams have already been conducted on January 22, 23, and 24 in two shifts. The remaining exams will be conducted as follows:
- Paper 1 exams on January 28 and 29 in two shifts
- Paper 2 on January 30 in the 2nd shift
JEE Main 2025 session 2 exams will be conducted from April 1 to 8, 2025.
According to the JEE main 2025 paper 1 exam, candidates have to answer the 75 questions divided as follows:
- 25 Physics
- 25 Chemistry
- 25 Mathematics
Out of the 25 questions on each subject, 20 are MCQs and 5 NATs.

Due to unavoidable reason of technical snag, the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam has been rescheduled for 114 candidates. These candidates were appearing on January 22 Shift 1 at Examination Centre eTalent, (TC Code-40086), No.3, Belmar Estate, Nagasandra Main Rd, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The postponed exam will be conducted on January 28 or 29, 2025.
NTA starts JEE Main 2025 Jan 24 Shift 2 exam at 3 PM. The exam will continue till 6 PM.
Based on the difficulty level of this year’s JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam, here’s the JEE Main 2025 Cutoff percentile range:
- General: 94.24–100.0
- EWS: 82.33–94.23
- OBC: 80.68–94.23
- SC: 61.09–94.23
- ST: 47.70–94.23
For the JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech, candidates must answer 75 questions. These questions are divided into Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each subject has 2 sections – Sectiom A with 20 MCQs and Section B with 5 NATs.
For JEE Main 2025 January 24 Shift 2, the doors to the exam center was opened at 1 PM. Candidates has to complete the frisking, security checks, and document verification by 2.30 PM. Invigilators gave instructions from 2.30 to 2.50 PM. Candidates are allowed to log in to their systems from 2.50 PM and start the exam at 3 PM.
Note: No candidate is allowed to enter the exam center, under no circumstances, once the dates close.
NTA will start the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 registration from January 31, 2025 onwards. Candidates can apply on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date for registration will be February 24, 2025.
This year, IIT Kanpur is scheduled to conduct JEE Advanced 2025 exam on May 18, 2025 (Sunday). The exam will be conducted in two shifts:
- Paper 1: 09:00-12:00 IST
- Paper 2: 14:30-17:30 IST

- -1 for every incorrect answer
- 0 for unanswered question
In case the barcode or your photo and signature is not clearly visible on the JEE Main 2025 admit card, you will not be allowed to enter exam center. Therefore, you must get a proper prinout of the JEE Main admit card before going for the exam. Candidates are adviced to keep multiple print outs of the admit card, preferebly in colour, to avoid such hassles.
Due to the ongoing Mahakumbh congregation, several JEE Main 2025 candidates anticipate facing difficulties to reach their exam center at Prayagraj, UP on January 28, 29, and 30. Therefore, NTA has decided to shift the candidates to exam centers at Varanasi for the said dates.
