CEE Kerala has issued a notice regarding the revision of the fee structure for the MBBS course at P K Das Institute of Medical Sciences. Students can check the revised fee structure on the official website of CEE Kerala.
The Government of Kerala has announced a revised fee structure for MBBS courses at the P K Das Institute of Medical Sciences, located in Vaniyamkulam, Palakkad, for the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21. This decision follows a series of judgments from the Hon'ble High Court in multiple writ petitions and orders from the Fee Regulatory Committee for Medical Education in Kerala.
Background of the Decision
The revision process began with a common judgment on 15th December 2023 in W.P (C) Nos. 27019/21, 27022/21, 4732/22, and 33757/23, where the Hon'ble High Court directed a review of fees charged by the P K Das Institute. The Fee Regulatory Committee, which had originally set the fees, revisited and reassessed the structure, leading to a new order that adjusts fees for two specific academic years.
The revised fees take into account the court's direction, including an instruction to refund any excess amounts previously collected from students and to balance any due fees with the revised structure.

The revised fees represent a reduction in the financial burden on students and their families.
Implementation of the Revised Fee Structure

Fees for SC/ST/OEC Students: Special provisions have been made for students from SC/ST/OEC categories. Any additional fees sanctioned by the Director of SC/ST Development Department will be granted to the colleges as per the Fee Regulatory Committee’s rates.
