MHT CET 2024 PCM Date Rescheduled Due To NEET UG 2024, New Dates to be Out Soon

New Delhi: As per Maharashtra CET Cell, the MHT CET 2024 PCM exam will not be conducted on May 05, 2024 as the exam dates are clashing with NEET UG 2024, which is also scheduled to be held on the same day. Due to this, the CET cell has decided to postpone the exam. The revised schedule for MHT CET 2024 will be announced soon.

Informing about the changes in MHT CET 2024 Dates, the official website read, “All students and parents should note that MHT CET (PCM Group) exam will not be conducted on 05-05-2024 as the NEET UG exam is on 05-05-2024. Revised dates will be announced soon”.

Following the MHT CET 2024 Schedule, the dates for the physics, chemistry and mathematics groups were revised due to the upcoming Lok Sabha general elections. Earlier, the MHT CET 2024 for PCB group was scheduled for April 16 to April 30. Now, the exam will be held from April 22 to April 30, 2024.

The MHT CET 2024 exam is held to shortlist candidates for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses offered by various colleges and universities in Maharashtra. This year, the state Cell recorded an increase of 14% in MHT CET enrollment as compared to last year.

The MHT CET is held in a computer-based mode for a duration of 90 minutes for each section. The questions are covered in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format covering concepts from class 11 and 12th standard. There is no negative marking and 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer (except the mathematics section which covers 2 marks per question).
