New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened applications for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) as of April 13, 2024. You can apply for the NCET until April 30, 2024. THE NCET is conducted for admission into the for the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). An official notice by the NTA stated, “The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Common Entrance Test [NCET] 2024 in 178 Cities and 13 mediums across India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for the Academic Session 2024-25”.
The ITEP NCET 2024 question paper will include 181 questions, out of which you have to solve a total of 160 questions. The test is divided into four sections - languages, domain-specific subjects, a general test, and a teaching aptitude test.
What is the Syllabus for ITEP NCET 2024?
The Syllabus for various parts of the NTA ITEP NCET 2024 exam is as follows:
- The language section will test your Reading Comprehension, Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary
- The syllabus for the domain-specific subject will be the same as the Class 12 syllabus for the subject.
- The general section will focus on your General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning.
- The teaching aptitude section will test you on how to teach different subjects like Science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Languages, etc.

How to Apply for NCET 2024?
Step 1: Visit the official website at ncet.samarth.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button.
Step 3: Read through the instructions and check the box near the bottom of the page. Click on the button titled “Click here to proceed.”
Step 4: Fill out the NCET 2024 application form and pay the appropriate fee.
Step 5: Download the form and fee receipt for future reference.
