The minimum required points for institutions to be considered for application processing have been decreased from 16 to 10 points.
The fourth phase of the ITEP application will commence on April 1, 2024, and conclude on May 31, 2024. An expert committee presented its recommendations on February 14, 2024, to establish the revised shortlisting criteria.
The report emphasized the inclusion of Category 1 institutions as per UGC guidelines, which would now require 8 points, contributing to a minimum of 10 points for shortlisting.
Previously, institutions needed at least 16 points to qualify for application processing, adhering to existing NCTE norms.
