NEET PG Counselling 2023: MCC Launches Portal for Disability Certificates for PwD Quota Candidates

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the launch of the online portal for the generation of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) certificates specifically for the PwD quota in the NEET PG counselling 2023.

Apart from that, the MCC has also released a list of NEET PG screening centres that specialize in disability assessments. These centres will issue certificates to PwD candidates, supporting their claim for a 5% reservation in postgraduate medical courses. All registered PwD candidates for NEET PG 2023 are advised to visit the official website @mcc.nic.in for further information

According to an official notice from the MCC, all candidates who have registered under the PwD quota in the NEET PG 2023 Application Form should be aware that the PwD portal for generating PwD certificates through the Designated Disability NEET PG Screening Centres is now accessible.

The MCC has notified that the candidates have the option to obtain disability certificates from any of the designated centres through the online mode. However, it is mandatory for candidates to physically visit the designated Disability NEET PG Screening Centres for a thorough examination and quantification of their disability as no other certificates will be applicable.

Further, the MCC has clarified that candidates, regardless of their qualification status in NEET PG 2023 or NEET MDS 2023, will be able to obtain the certificates online. The list of disability certification centres provided by the committee includes the centre's name, city, and the specific disability for which the certificate can be issued.

Meanwhile, the commencement of the NEET PG Counselling 2023 process is expected to take place on July 15, with the official dates set to be announced shortly. Dr. Vijay Oja, the president of the NMC, has stated that the organizing body has examined 1870 out of 2828 applications. The seat matrix will be formulated once the remaining applications have been reviewed.
