The MCC has introduced a special stray vacancy round for NEET PG counselling 2023, starting registration on November 17, to fill the remaining postgraduate medical seats.

New Delhi: MCC has introduced a special stray vacancy round for NEET PG counselling 2023, aiming to occupy the remaining postgraduate medical seats. According to the timetable, registration for this special counselling session via the NEET PG is set to commence on November 17, 2023.
All the eligible candidates for NEET PG 2023 are notified that, in an effort to avoid the wastage of valuable medical seats, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has decided to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round for the available MD/MS/Diploma/MDS seats in the All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota. This round serves as the last chance for postgraduate courses in the academic year 2023.
The MCC has issued an official notice stating that interested and eligible candidates can apply for the special stray vacancy round through the official website, mcc.nic.in. The deadline for registration is November 22, and applicants can fill and lock their choices between November 18 and November 22, 2023.
The results of seat allotment will be announced on November 24, 2023, and candidates to whom seats are allocated must report to their assigned institutes between November 25 and November 30, 2023.

NEET PG Stray Vacancy Round Counselling: Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for this stray vacancy round are mentioned below:
- Eligibility criteria for this round include candidates without any seat in All India Quota or state quota, excluding those who did not join seats allocated from MCC round-3 onwards.
- Candidates failing to join the allotted seat in this round will forfeit their security deposit and be barred from the next year's NEET exam.
- The data of allotted candidates will be shared with states, and candidates allotted seats by MCC won't be eligible for state counseling admission.
- This round does not allow upgrading for candidates who joined earlier rounds.
