New Delhi: With NEET UG 2024 on May 5, 2024, the exam preparation is in full swing. Just studying hard isn't enough! Many bright students miss out on top colleges because they lack practice with NEET MCQs or smart strategies.

While hard work is essential for NEET success, some smart strategies can make a big difference. Here are some tips to master NEET MCQs, conquer the challenges and maximize your NEET score, (120+) in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology!

Smart Tips to Solve NEET 2024 Multiple Choice Questions

Multiple choice questions (MCQs) are the key to achieving high marks in NEET 2024. However, with four answer choices and negative markings, these questions can also be challenging. So, by following these effective strategies, you'll be well-equipped to tackle NEET MCQs and maximize your score.

1. Go through NEET 2024 Question Thoroughly

Reading the questions thoroughly is the key to achieving a high NEET score as each NEET question is different, the approach towards them should also be different.

For example, a question about the period with an answer guaranteed in meters per second (m/s) allows you to eliminate options with different units. This will let you select the correct answer.

2. Conceptual Thinking to Succeed

With the NEET exam being highly competitive, there might be challenging questions that might test your understanding. So, you should use conceptual thinking to help you clear those tricky questions.

3. Avoid Guessing & Use Elimination Method

Guessing the answers can be very risky in the NEET exam as there's a penalty of 1 mark deduction for each wrong answer as per the NTA NEET marking scheme. Thus, it is best to avoid guessing unless you're sure about your answer. However, you can use the elimination method to eliminate the options that might seem unlikely until only one remains.

4. Time is Gold

With the NEET exam being a time-bound exam, there'll only be 3 hours and 20 minutes, so, utilize the time wisely and smartly. Solving NEET mock tests and sample papers will help you understand the length of the answers, so make sure to allot your time to those accordingly.

5. ‘None of the Above' or ‘All of the Above’?

Most of the time, 'All of the Above' or 'None of the Above' answers might confuse you in NEET MCQs, as these options are likely correct. However, this is not always the case. So, consider all the options and avoid getting confused.

6. Tough Questions: First or Last?

It is always better to start with the easier questions at the beginning and tougher ones at the end. Also, you should spend less time on questions you're familiar with and more on those that need attention.

7. Do Not Panic!

Although competitive exams can leave you anxious, do not panic, as it might cause confusion and make you forget simple details you know well. However, in case you feel anxious or stressed, take deep breaths, drink water, and give yourself time to calm down and refocus on the exam.
