NEET UG ‘Incorrect Question Paper’ Distributed at Rajasthan Centre; Re-exam to be Conducted for 120 Students

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that there has been a mishap during the distribution of question paper of the NEET UG 2024 exam at an exam centre in Rajasthan. According to reports, a wrong question paper was distributed at the centre at Girls Higher Secondary Model School, Mandir, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.

After the misdistribution of question papers was reported, the invigilators at the exam centre tried to handle the situation and maintain order. Despite their attempts, some students have reportedly left the exam centre with their question papers. 

To ensure fairness, the agency has decided that it will be reconducting the NEET UG 2024 exam for the 120 affected students at that particular exam centre. “During the NEET-UG examination, it came to attention that at one exam center, Girls Higher Secondary Model School, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, there was an incident of incorrect distribution of question papers by the Centre Superintendent. Despite efforts by invigilators to prevent it, some candidates left the exam center with question papers,” Sadhna Parashar, Senior Director, NTA said in a statement.

“To uphold the principles of fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates, the NTA has taken proactive measures. The examination of approximately 120 affected candidates at the center is being conducted today, ensuring that their academic aspirations are not hindered by this incident,” she said.

This year, a record 23 lakh candidates registered for NEET UG, of which over 10 lakh were male students, over 13 lakh were girls, and 24 students registered under the third gender category.

Now that the exam is over, NTA will soon be releasing the provisional answer key for NEET UG 2024 on its official website, neet. online.in. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the NEET UG 2024 provisional answer key. By utilizing the NEET 2024 answer key, candidates can estimate their probable scores for the exam. The NEET UG 2024 results are scheduled to be released by the NTA on June 14, 2024.
