NIOS Stream 2 Admission 2023 Open; Deadline Extended till July 31

New Delhi: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has extended the admission deadline for stream 2 for the academic session 2023-24. Candidates who are interested in applying for NIOS stream 2 can now register until July 31, through the official website, nios.ac.in.

According to the notification issued by NIOS, the last date for online admission to NIOS stream 2 for the academic session 2023-24 has been extended until July 31, 2023.

Under the NIOS board, students have the opportunity to transfer credits for up to four subjects from NIOS old students, and for up to two subjects from other recognized boards such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), UP Board, and all other government recognized and approved boards.

NIOS Stream 2 Admission 2023: Eligibility 

To be eligible for the secondary class, students must be at least 14 years old and have completed Class 8, 9, or 10. For the senior secondary class, the minimum age requirement is 15 years, and students must have passed Class 12 for improvement. The admission remains valid for 5 years from the year of registration.

Documents Required for NIOS Stream 2 Admission 2023

For NIOS stream 2 admission in 2023, students need to upload the following documents during the registration process.

• Original scanned copy of mark sheet issued by the Board.
• Disability certificate.
• Ex-serviceman certificate.
• Self attested copy of caste certificate if students belong to SC, ST, OBC social category.
• Recent passport size colour photograph and signature preferably in black ink.
• Valid identity proof like Aadhaar card, Aadhaar Enrolment slip, passport, ration card or any other valid government identity card etc.
• Class 8 marksheet or Self Certificate in case of the secondary course.
• Class 10th Marksheet/Certificate in case of senior secondary course
• Valid proof of Date of Birth.
• Valid proof of residence.

To apply for NIOS admission 2023, candidates can follow the steps provided:

Step 1: Go to the official website of the NIOS Board, sdmis.nios.ac.in.

Step 2: Navigate to the admission tab and select "Stream 2" under the academic section.

Step 3: Enter all the required basic details and choose the desired course.

Step 4: Upload the necessary documents in the specified format.

Step 5: Complete the payment of the application fee and submit the registration form.
