NITTTR PhD Admission 2025 Open; Apply for Entrance Test by January 19

National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR Chandigarh) is inviting applications for PhD programs for the January 2025 session. Admissions are open for all applicants except for QIP applicants.

Applications must be submitted through email at phd.entrance@nitttrchd.ac.in and phd.admissions@nitttrchd.ac.in along with the self-attested copy of relevant documents and proof of payment. Candidates applying for more than one discipline should submit separate applications. A candidate is permitted to apply for a maximum of two disciplines only.

NITTTR PhD Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria

In-service Teachers/Working Professionals/Fresh Master’s Degree holders aspiring to be teachers are eligible to apply as per the following minimum eligibility criteria:

PhD under Sponsored (by Institute/ Industry/Other Organizations/ Self) Scheme (Regular/Modular):
- Master’s Degree or Equivalent in Engineering/ Applied Sciences/ Management with a minimum CGPA of 6 or 60% marks (55% in case of SC/ST/PwD/OBC-NCL/EWS).
- Qualified GATE/NET/other such national fellowship test or PhD Entrance Test of NITTTR, Chandigarh in the respective discipline.
- For the candidates opting for Modular PhD, an experience of minimum two years is essential.

Candidates have to pay the application fee (nonrefundable) of INR 1000 on or before the prescribed date. A non-refundable fee of INR 500 must be paid for additional discipline applied.

The total amount payable at the time of admission is INR 25,000 excluding the Hostel/Mess charges. Students will have to deposit the migration fee (if any), thesis submission fee, and any other applicable fee as per norms of NITTTR, Chandigarh (Deemed to be University).
