New Delhi: The National Law University of Delhi is getting ready to introduce three academic initiatives with the goal of fostering academic partnerships and research capabilities. According to NLUD, the three programmes are the National Scholars-in-Residence Programme, International Visitorship Programme, and Abhyasa Initiative.

The NLUD Abhyasa Initiative will make an effort to include the experiences of practitioners and experts in the relevant disciplines by assigning specialised subjects that concentrate on the practical applications of the subject, with the exception of seminar courses.

Practical exercises that are closely related to the topic include filing/drafting applications, understanding specific rules and procedures, understanding technical/scientific aspects that are important from an evidentiary/factual perspective in litigation, understanding the special court procedures (if any) that are used to resolve disputes, writing exercises, etc.

The goal of the International Visitorship Programme is to enhance the academic and research ecosystem at NLU Delhi through interactions with outstanding international scholars. The programme gives visitors the chance to advance their research and discover creative ways to interact with faculty and students in a dynamic learning environment, such as by offering specialised courses and encouraging more academic and research ties with the institution.

The University accepts applications for the programme from academics who are employed full-time by their institutions as well as professionals and practitioners having more than seven years of experience in the field. The University welcomes applications for the National Scholars-in-Residence Programme from academics with full-time jobs at their institutions, doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, and professionals/practitioners with more than 7 years of industry experience. There is a cap on the number of spots available, and scholars from the University's partner institutions will receive preference.
