NTA has issued various notices regarding changes in examination venue and schedule for affected candidates. Students can go through official website to check the notifications.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) or JEE Main 2025, has issued a critical update for candidates appearing in Session 1 of the examination scheduled from 22 January to 30 January 2025. Due to logistical challenges and unforeseen circumstances, such as the ongoing Mahakumbh celebrations in Ayodhya and Prayagraj, as well as technical issues at certain centers, NTA has announced changes in examination venues and rescheduled tests for affected candidates. These measures aim to ensure a smooth and hassle-free examination process for all aspirants.

Among the significant changes, examination centers in Ayodhya and Prayagraj have been shifted to alternate venues, while candidates affected by technical disruptions in Bengaluru have been allotted new dates and admit cards. Candidates must note the changes to their examination details and adhere to the revised instructions provided by the NTA. Fresh admit cards have been issued to all affected candidates and can be downloaded from 24 January 2025 via the official website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.
Change in Venue for Ayodhya Candidates
Based on recommendations from the District Level Committee and the District Administration, the venue for candidates originally scheduled at Institute for Advanced Computer Technology, 21/03/44/03, Behind Choti Devkali Mandir, Tulsi Nagar Ayodhya, Faizabad, UP-224723, has been changed.
This decision was necessitated by the anticipated heavy footfall of devotees in Mahakumbh near Ram Path and River Saryu during the examination dates—28, 29, and 30 January 2025.
New Venue:
-
SRS Digital Institute, MIG-35, Kaushalpuri Colony, Phase-2, Ayodhya
Candidates scheduled at the original center can download fresh admit cards from 24 January 2025 via the official website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/. Instructions in the admit cards and the Information Bulletin must be carefully followed.
Shift of Examination Centers from Prayagraj to Varanasi
In light of the Mahakumbh congregation at Prayagraj, which could hinder accessibility to examination centers, NTA has decided to relocate the scheduled tests on 28, 29, and 30 January 2025 from Prayagraj to Varanasi. Fresh admit cards have been issued, ensuring a smooth examination process for all affected candidates.
Rescheduling of Examination for Bengaluru Candidates
Due to a technical snag at the eTalent Examination Centre (TC Code-40086), No. 3, Belmar Estate, Nagasandra Main Road, Bengaluru, the Shift-I examination on 22 January 2025 was disrupted. Consequently, the examination for 114 affected candidates has been rescheduled to 28 and 29 January 2025.
Fresh admit cards have been issued to these candidates, ensuring they are accommodated appropriately.
