New Delhi: The University Grants Commission is set to host a "Cyber Hygiene'' webinar on April 03, 2024. The webinar will be delivered from 2 pm to 3 pm by the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs’ Cybercrime Coordination Centre (14C).
The UGC has invited all higher education institutions (HEIs) to participate in the webinar, deeming it necessary for awareness about cyber threats and how to combat them.
As per UGC, the webinar will disseminate necessary information about the best practices for being safe online and ways to maintain cyber hygiene and ensure that no data or personal information is leaked online.
With growing dependence on the Internet and cyber technology and the integration of digital procedures almost everywhere, institutes must know how to look for and guard against cybersecurity threats.
The webinar will be broadcast on all of UGC’s social media accounts with remarks from UGC Chairman Professor M. Jagadesh Kumar. Then the chief focus of the event, a presentation by 14C Director Nishant Kumar will begin. Finally, there will also be a Q&A session to bring the webinar to an end.
In other news, UGC is now receiving applications from foreign HEIs who want to have their campuses in India. HEIs all over the world can register and boost their rankings to reach the list of the top 500 international institutes.
