Professor Manish Joshi, Secretary of the UGC, urges State Boards to promote student participation in the CUET (UG) 2024. The registration deadline is extended until March 31, 2024. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 15 to May 31.

New Delhi: Professor Manish Joshi, Secretary of the University Grants Commission (UGC), has issued a letter to the Chairpersons of all State Boards, asking them to encourage student participation in the upcoming Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to UG Courses for the academic session 2024-25.
The CUET UG Exam has been made mandatory by the Ministry of Education for admission to UG Courses in the various Central Universities and HEIs across the country. The exam is conducted and managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The deadline for registration for CUET UG 2024 has been extended until March 31, 2024. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 15- 31, 2024. The exam will be conducted in 13 different languages to promote student inclusivity. The 13 languages are, Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The result for CUET UG 2024 will be released by June 30, 2024.
For the ease of students to attend the examination, CUET UG 2024 will be conducted across 380 exam cities from India and abroad.
Prof. Joshi emphasised the importance of informing students about this opportunity and motivating them to register via the official website. According to him, if the students are well aware of the syllabus, exam patterns of the CUET UG 2024 Exam, they are likely to participate in the admission process through it.
UGC letter reads “In light of these developments, State Boards are urged to disseminate information about CUET (UG) 2024 among students and facilitate their registration through the official NTA website, https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. This collaborative effort seeks to empower students and enhance accessibility to quality higher education opportunities.”
