Highlights of UPES College Dehradun

In my opinion, dont take admission in UPES college. As compare to UPES take admission in any local college. If you want to waste 20 to 30 lakhs then you will be welcome to UPES. In the present scenerio you can take review from any passed out student from UPES. They will advice you same.

I choose Automotive Design Engineering course in the college. In my opinion if you want to take admission in UPES then choose CSE Branch.Placement records for CS Branch are good and worst for non technical. Hardly 2 to 3 core companies visited in the college for Non Tech Branches. The exam held semester wise. Exam structure changes from time to time so there is no fixed pattern.

In the name of the placement they will provide you job in sales and marketing. By placing their students in Sales and Marketing they show their stats high. On the ground reality among 100 students only 2 to 3 students get placed in Core Companies.

There is some event known as Urja celebrated in the month of October or November. From the past two years, it was celebrated well. There is also some tech-fest known as ignite held in the month of November.

The most concern issue is the fees of the college. It varies from year to year. Currently, i heard from juniors that semester fees for 2019-20 candidate will be around 2 lakhs (only tuition fees). They don't deliver what take event 1 percent.

Scholarsip will be given to the students of Uttranchal. They got some deduction in their fees. As we come to academics, i dont heard from any student that he/ she got scholarship. One thins which i assure you that they believe in taking money as more as possible, not giving.

Sports ground is too small. Sports are divided semester wise. In odd semester students play football and in the even semester student play cricket. Intramural tournaments are organized for Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleball etc. College will not take any team for inter tournaments. Teams play on their own.

Only few students get the hostel facilities in the campus. Other students will stay in the private hostels. Hotel Infrastructure is good. The only place where they spend fees of the candidates is on the infrastrucure.

I m passed out student of 2019. I dont have idea about any kind of the alumini network and senior students. But one thing i will make you sure that no passed out student will recommend anyone UPES college. Its quality decreasing day by day. When i took admission there are 120 students enrolled in my class. On my graduating year when i visited juniors classroom there are only 7 students enrolled in ADE course. You can get idea from that.

I got admission in UPES college through entrance test known as UPESEAT. The score does not matter this entrance test. You will get admission in the college at an rank. My rank was around 5000 in the UPESEAT.

1 out of 10 teachers is good at teaching there. You will be very lucky if you got them. No cooperation with the students. Students only attend their lecture for attendance purpose. You have to study on your own in this college.
