Remarks

Place is just blessed by the weather in winters and rains. Scenery is sometimes is to be fall. There are some amazing places nearby like Rishikesh, Mussorie, Dhanaulti etc but then again if you really want a good exposure and knowledge, set your priorities accordingly and go for the best from what you can.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course which i opted for was basically one of the best courses that the university offered. Being in the automotive design engineering, the exams pretty much involved the practicals, vivas and written exams along with some internal marks awarded by the faculty based on overall performance.

Placement Experience

2

Starting from internship, which is compulsory for all in 3rd year, almost all were able to get interships from college but wasn't paid. Moreover you expect to learn from internships but in some cases it wasn't the same as getting intern for such a crowd is not easy. Our batch was almost the size of 115. Ofcourse there were some with connections in the industry who opted for self intern but still that is a huge crowd to be managed. Now coming to the most important part, THE JOBS- as there was a huge crowd, i can totally understand that it is near impossible to place each and every one in good job and good pay but, still we could have been placed at decent companies. This wasn't the case as only 4-5 basic core companies visit and that to with the maximum demand of around 5 each. Ofcourse it could go to 7-8 but also reduce to 0. Rest all were forced to sit in marketing companies in which some were sales( by sales i mean Door to Door sales). This is untolerable and unexpected from such a huge intitution like this but yes this is true. Long story short many ended up taking the job which pays around 20-25k a month due to financial or other reasons and many are jobless and are studying further or involved in family business.

College Events

2.5

There are 2 big yearly festivals that we celebrate. 1 is like a tech fest in which various small competitions are held and participated by students and the other is Uurja, which is again overhyped the only event. Though we have performances and Dj nights but until last year of my college, no good band or even a decent one was called. Good and decent are the words which have different levels for different people but yes seeing what other colleges used to call as band and singers actually made us envy them. Other colleges called names like shirley setia, farhan aktar etc. but ours were no where close.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive as compared to other colleges as the basic aminities and equipments, labs, faculties, classes etc. are not according to fees they charge. Some people take loans that are hard to pay with the jobs the gets.

Fees and Financial Aid

I really have less information on this as harldy i have met anyone among my batch to have got the scholarships. But yes there were some for the first year if you had 90 percent or above and for further semesters you had to had a great Cgpa. Only in case of loss of earning parent, they had let the student to study without the fees.

Campus Life

2.5

I have already discussed much about labs, they are not up to the mark. They seriously lack the proper setup and equipment which is desired and expected from a reputed institute like this. Coming to the sports we had one field in our campus, yes just one in which we had cricket pitch, ofcourse which was only allowed to use during cricket tournaments. And when playing cricket, rest other sports like football, throw etc had to wait since the same field was used for all. Ofcourse we had 1 volleyball court and 2 basketball field, again which was without boundaries or proper outside net, and in the same field. And at last we didn't have any tennis field, squash court and swimming pool. Ofcouse, before my graduation was about to complete, i was able to see gym and badminton courts. But let me remind you our college was founded in 2003. Well ofcourse that is the time you need for setting these.

Alumni/Alumna

I would like to keep it simple as it completely depend on your connections and the people you are talking to, so this can't be answered by just taking in consideration my only scenario. For instance i know people who were very helpful and good academically but landed up doing not so great jobs. And I know some who were not so good but have good profiles and incomes and influence.

Admission

I was well aware of this university while preparing for my IIT-jee preparation, all thanks to wonderful marketing stratergy of the college. I applied for UPESEAT along with some other private colleges. After the test i got a rank around 6000 which is not so good but not so bad too. Having this rank and getting subject of my choice i landed up in the college. There is just a counselling session once you get results for UPESEAT

Faculty

2.5

As stated, i joined the college for one of the best courses but little did i know that faculty wasn't up to the standards or the hype created. By involving in a discussion with some seniors i came to realise that that all the good faculties except few have left either to not so good teaching standards, not properly equipped labs or other reasons. Summing up teachers and faculty is not so better as it used to be.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
