College is located at a good place with full greenary everywhere. Kolkata is just 180 km away from DURGAPUR. Transport services are also good here. Public transport (buses) are available. Autos are also available as private transport.
Course Curriculum Overview
MCA (Master of computer applications) is a postgraduate program in computer science and engineering. It consists of six semesters with 6 mid sem and 6 end sem. After completion of 4 semesters, you l are eligible to sit for placements in companies.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good here on an average. About 30 companies come here in our campus for placement. And about 80 percent students get on-campus placement. Average package is 7 lpa. There is no stipend for MCA in college.
College Events
A number of events are organised here in every semester. These events consists of technical as well as as non-technical fest. Most of the sports events are organised here every year. There are a number of clubs in college which you may join to develop your skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure for MCA is on an average you have to submit an average fees of 43000 per semester. Hostel facilities are available for everyone and hostel fees is submitted at the time of admission. And mess is used to get deposited every month.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan facilities are available here for everyone who need at the time of admission. SBI and CANARA BANK, both banks are available in campus which provide best services. At a very low interest rates, loan is available here.
Campus Life
Most of the sports events are organised here every year. There are a number of clubs in college which which organise sports events like run marathon, cricket tournament, football tournament, badminton tournament, basketball tournament, hockey tournament.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are available for everyone and hostel fees is submitted at the time of admission. And mess is used to get deposited every month. On an average monthly mess fees is 3000 rupees per month.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are very helpful in case of any academic problems, as well as in placements. Students which are unable to get on-campus placement, they get in touch with seniors for help. And they try their level best in solving the problems of junior.
Admission
Through NIMCET (National Institute of Technology master of computer applications common entrance test), a common entrance exam to pursue MCA from NITs. Qualifications for this exam is, must be graduate with maths as a subject in any of the semester of undergraduate course.
Faculty
Faculty of NIT Durgapur is very helpful in every aspect i. e. related to study or placement or practicals. They all have doctorate degree. They try their best in developing the skills of student. They also help us in getting job.
