My Honest Review For Nit Durgapur

Curriculum is designed in very old design.Also the faculty don't teaches us properly so youmust have to use external source for studies.Since i had interest in electronics and communication engineering so i choose this course.I think lab equipments should be increased since number of students are more so there are 8 studenta in a group in electrical labso it is difficult to understand individually. Exmam duration is 2 months like 6 monts for 1 semester inmwhich 2 months are holiday and other are divided in equally half part for mid semester and end semester exam.

Placement companies like IOCL, NTPC, SAIL, TCS, infosys, DRDO offers internships for students. Many students also secure IITs research internships And most of the internshops are offered with stipend.Overall placements and internships rate of this college is quite good.

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.

If any student have income certificate of less than 1 lakh then his tution fee will not be taken. The instiute do not provide any scholorship internally .If any student need it they have to apply central government or private or state government scholorships.

There are two annual fest the tech fest Aarohan held in mid october in 2025 and the cultural fest Recstacy.in februry also food fests also organised . The capacity of library is quite good also it contains around 2 lakh books. Classroom size is also good around 250 students can sit in one classroom .All the class contains AC ,Fans and proper ventillation. There is proper place for every sports ,swimming pool is not available here so it is its disadvantage also one more disadvantage is that it do not have any internal game courts. Yes there is all types of clubs in this college for every type of social activities. .

For the 1st year students all students get 3 seater rooms whether it is boy or girls. All student get their personal bed ,study table ,almirah.There is no washing machine available in the hostel. Quality of mess food is quite good as i heared from other college students i think mess food is better here.It contains very improper balence in veg and non veg food items.Non vegeterians get alltype of food while veg only get paneer. Registration process was quite simplw and easy it took only 5 to 10 minutes only you have to submit some documents asked by college.

I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. Admission process- You will have to qualify jee mains to get admission in this college wit a rank under 50 thousand to get a goo branch.Then you will have to sit in josaa councelling then follow the next steps.

Faculty to student ratio is quite good like every 4 student group have one faculty for themand They are quite friendly.Since i have spent only two months in this college so i can't tell more about faculty. There is 3 exams in one semester one is mid sem then class assisment and then end sem.The level of question is moderate . However thr carericulum is too old also all branch student sit in same class infirst year so it create some problem for some students. According to what direstor sir told us in the whole college students of every semester around 900 students got semester back from the batch of 2024-25.

There is a gym in this campus ,there is proper timing for boys and girls in the gym. There are many food stoles and cafeterias like nescafe, wonder cafe in the whole campus so that students chill there after hectic class days. All 1st semester students must come inside hostel before 7pm and and for all the 4 year boys students the campus entry timing is 10:30 pm and there is no hostel timing for them and for girls hostel entry timing is 9:00pm.
