i choose electronics and communication because i have much interest in vlsi and of core of this branch .curriculum is not so good practicle experiments are repeatable and lees praactical in a week ,many topics are old need to update ,teaching is more theory and less practicle so dtudents not get enough industry exposer .difficulty is medium,if you follow notes youjcan clear .overall course is good but neeed more new subject,projet and practical approach.

internship at nit durgapur is good lots of big companies are coming like qualcom ,hindustan lmt ,tcs,microsoft, but for my branch in ece very less companies .few internship are paid and most are unpaid .overall helpful for resume and skill .actually i am in 3rd sem so dont know about project and outcomes to clarify the task

after 6th sem students become eligible for campus plalcement .apple ,microsoft,tcs ,adobe,hcl ,qualcom and many other top company and psu are visit .approx 700 offer made. highest package is 64 lakh and average is 12lakh per annum .88% sstudent getting placements. my plan for higher study

yearly i am paying 98000 included mess fee and hostle fee and caution money as 100 percent tuition fee waiver. tuition fee is 62500 but as fee waiver i am paying 0.hostle caution money refundable 5000.hostle seat rent is 10000 for a year.institute caution money 10000.convocation fee 1000 per year.almuni activity fee 1000 per year . institute development fee 1000.training and placement fee 1000 per year.laboratory fee 2000.library charge 1200.computing and internet charge 3000.examination fee 1200.electricity and water charge 1700.student activity fund 2500. comprehensive insurance premium,healthcare and welbeing charge is 1500.hostle establisment charge 1500 and mess fee is 17000

annual fest is ractasy and technicle festival is arohan both are held in februry -march . library has good books ,journals but need updates.classroos are well maintened and have a mics and projector .sport and extracurricular activities arae realy good all equipment are available. yes student run social group ,clubs,or students portal ,including their impact on stuent llife.

hostle facilities is not so good. my rooom door lock is not availabe ,i complained it many of time meal quality and meal is good but need to improvement hostel and mess fee are afordable and not so much.

nit trichy i kept it top but i did not get it as my jee score is insufficient for it .i choosed nit durgapur over the others because i got electronics and communication and any other top college i did not able to get thid branch . as it is NIT the admission through jossa conselling as of jee main marks eligiblitly critria is above 75 % in 12th and should be clear jee main ,cut off maarks is 150 so tha you get nit durgapur

faculty member are mix ,some good and helful and some are only finish syllabus fast .exam system midsem ,endsem and class assignment ,lab and viva.marking medium ,internal marks help.most of student are pass and only few get supli. curriculum ir partly outdated but electives are useful.overall good but more practicle focus needed....One of branch professor NC sir is good who teach us network theory because teaching style is more listenable and taking open book class test . AKM sir who teach us digital electronis ,i personally sleep at that particular class. the faculty to student ratio is 10:103.

till 8:30 pm library and gym are open generally and open at morning at 9am hostle close time is 11:30 pm and open at 5am big junction mall present in city center of durgapur and has dam near by steel industry
