Course Curriculum Overview
The Couse curriculum is a little bit hectic and a liitle bit reduction from some irrelevant topics are required and other courses like AI ML and Data Analysis should be added to all branches for securing jobs in other fields and the must be optional so that who wants it must take it only.

Internship Opportunities at NIT Durgapur: Internship opportunities at NIT Durgapur are quite limited, which is a major drawback for students seeking practical exposure. The college provides very few official internship programs, and there is minimal industry collaboration to support large-scale placements or research internships. As a result, most students have to search for opportunities on their own through external platforms. This lack of structured internship support reduces the practical learning experience that students expect from a premier institute.
Placement Experience
There are good placements but the placements are not up to mark. All comanies are not highly interested in hiring Specially Civil Engineering. Company should give better offers to students of NITs also.. lower packages are not accepatable
Fees and Financial Aid

Campus Life
Very Good living environment in the college there will be restrictions in the first year but from 2nd yr onwards you will be free to roam about any time and good amounts of clubs are present which make it a wholesome with events..
Hostel Facilities
Rooms till 2nd year are 3 seater with 3 beds 3 table 3 chairs 2 fans and embedded almirah in the walls of the room and toilets are of good quality but with leaking pipes. Mess food is very good with chicken 3 times, fish 3 times and egg 3 times a week and Mutton 1 time in every 3 weeks.
Admission
Applied for all NIT except in the 7 sisters. I got the highest branch into this college according to my rank so i joined this college and also it has a prestigious name in terms of NITs. JEE MAINS is the exam for eligibilty
Faculty
Faculty and student relationship is good and teachers are supportive in terms of studies and some extra curricular activities, some faculty are very frienly but their way of explanation is not good so we struggle in those subjects.
Night Life
1st year will have some restrictions but from 2nd year onwards a good night life is expected. Good availability of shoos and canteens and duckpong being the most hangout place for couokes in the college.
