A roller coaster ride

Management is awesome. We have different portals for different situations that can come across.

The course curriculum is set to give an on-sight knowledge of the Cooperate world. It is a mixture of research as well as theoretical learning. It helps me to become an IT professional in several ways like I gain theoretical knowledge from the subjects classes as well as LABS help me out to gain how the real world works. Upon all this, Major and Minor projects help me to better understand how to work under deadlines.

Placements are very good at UPES, almost everyone gets placed from here. You just need to gain knowledge. A very good number of companies visit the campus every year which includes big names like Amazon, LTI, Cognizant, etc for the Computer science department. For the internships as well as various companies visit and do recruit students for a period of 2-3 months.

Various student chapters are working in the college which organizes different events from time to time. To list the best one is UURJA which is the cultural fest of the college. It is for 2 days with full energetic events and ending with a DJ night. TECHFEST is also organized by the university in which different colleges participate. Differents events are held from time to time like a hackathon.

Fees expense is 12 lakhs+ accommodation charges which depend upon the individual. The average expense for the hostel is 1,20,000 INR yearly The hostels provide food, accommodation, wi-fi, laundry and transportation to the campus and back to the hostel. The campus also has in-built hostels which have limited seats.

I haven't availed any loan or scholarship. But college does provide the education loan with collaboration with Oriental bank of Commerce and different scholarships are also provided depending upon the CGPA.

Campus Life is quite good. You'll have the most amazing view of the mountains which surrounds the college. Many extracurricular activities are performed every Wednesday which we celebrate as wow Wednesday. Different debate competitions along with sports activities are organized from time to time.

Seniors are very helpful, you just need to be in touch with them. They'll be always ready to help you in every situation.

I'll rate my faculty as 4 out of 5. Faculties are very much educated and always ready to help you out in any sort of problem, maybe related to your learning as an engineer or emotionally. Most of the faculties are post graduated and Ph.D.'s in their respective fields. UPES also have faculties from around the globe.
