Remarks

The college needs to revise some old ways that it has been working with. overall it is really amazing. It has this solid history with a beautiful infrastructure. It gives opportunities for student to grow and excel in so many ways. It focuses on delivering excellence and helping create a bright future. Constantly working hard to be in pace with the changing technologies in the world. This college gives thousands of memories to cherish and a wonderful place for beautiful minds to flourish.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Since the college is automous,it's making continuous efforts to bring changes in the curriculum so that the students learn what is really needed. This is a very good effort. The exam structure according to me is very fair. We have 6 semester in all with regular assesments and practicals so that we are always in touch with our studies and there is no extreme end term pressure.

Placement Experience

4

Considering the course, the placement opportunities are fairly good as compared to any other colleges that provide the same course but the salary doesn't go very high. We have in campus college placements for jobs and internships for post graduate courses. The faculty also keeps us updated with the off campus college placements.

College Events

4.5

Every dept has their individual fests followed by celebration of traditional day, saree day,DJ. There is an annual function for the entire college where students can participate in their interested field like singing, dancing, etc. The college also keeps organising blood donation campaigns.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. It varies according to the course but it is not very high and is easily affordable. It is even lower for the special category students. The fees is expected to be paid at one full time before the course commences.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are so many scholarships that the college provide to the rank holders and the students belonging to under privileged castes. It is not even difficult to apply for the same. All it takes is a form to fill and a proof for the same.

Campus Life

4.5

There are several extracurricular in the college including the ones which contribute to social work. Lots of sports and fests to help students deal with the study stress. NCC,NSS are also the part of the college. However, a little more cooperation from the teaching and non-teaching staff to help organise these events even more beautifully would really be appreciated. The college labs need an upgrade too.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I was not a hostelite. However the college provided with all the basic facilities needed in a hostel. There is a huge scope of improvement here. The facilities can further be improved and the rules and regulations can be revised. The rules differ for boys and girls living in the hostel and is often in disputes.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. They seniors have always been helpful advising of how things should be done the right way, sharing their experiences for us to learn from, guiding us with academics and extracurricular activities. The classmates and juniors used to be an amazing company as well.

Admission

The admission process and criteria keeps changing. However,I got admission through the merit list based on my 12th board marks. College declares merit lists in phases which is purely based on credit. One is expected to confirm his/her admission in the stipulated timeline orelse the seat is given to someone else as the second merit list is declared.

Faculty

3.5

We have very dedicated and supportive faculty ready to help us and guide us with any help we seek for. They are always ready to learn new courses and subjects in order to teach us and get us familiar with the same. However, there is always scope for betterment with a few of the subject faculties

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
