Pros:: Good Faculty, Good lab, Strong alumni network, Nice hostels, Scenic view, Beautiful campus, Strong curriculum, Cons:: Difficult to reach, No campus of its own, No transportation available, Divided Campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
This instituition is under Ministry of Human Resources Development and follows its course curriculum. Exam structure is written with 2 mid-terms and 1 end-term each semester.Mid-terms are of 1 hour duration and end-term is of 3 hours
Placement Experience
Around 50% of the batch is placed every year in companies like Capegemini,L&T,ZS securities etc.The maximum placements happen in Computer science engineering department whereas students of Civil engineering get placed the least.NIT UK does not provide internship whatsoever.
College Events
Various technical and cultural events are celebrated throughout the calander year.Major events include Cliffesto,Blitzchalag,Sphinx etc.Cliffesto is the annual cultural festival which includes events like Ramp walking ,Singing,Dancing etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is around 1 lakh per semester for general students.However for students with SC/ST/OBC quota or with income certificate it is much less and is around 20 thousand.Semester fee includes Hostel fees,Mess fee and tuition fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students with family income certificate can avail the scholarship for reducing their semester fee.Since NIT Uttarakhand is a government instituition, student loan can be availed from various Government sector and private sector banks.
Campus Life
Different extracurricular activities are held through out the calander year.Various sports competitions are held and teams are sent for competitions in other colleges also.Labs are available in every department with required apparatus and assistant. Research labs are full with high end equipments and updated regularly.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is well built with cleanliness being regularly maintained and is spacious and well lit.Separate Hostels are provided for boys and girls.24 hours hostel is under surveillance and is guarded and all sides.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is strong with students placed in L&T,Google,Capegemini,Seniors are really helpful here.Ragging is totally prohibited and the whole campus is under surveillance.Help can be taken in getting placed by contacting the alumni network.
Admission
The admission in this college is taken through qualifying JEE Mains.JEE stands for Joint Entrance Exam and is held twice a year.Aspirant must qualify this exam and reach a minimum required rank for getting into various branches
Faculty
The faculty of NIT Uttarakhand consists of reputated Professors and researchers in various field from different parts of the country.Faculty also consists of Trainee Teachers who are pursuing their Ph.D from other reputated instituitions.
