Remarks
The college is very strict in terms of attendance and there is little or no scope for refreshments. The students are burdened with studies and assignments to a great extent. Our college has some very useless rules one being that the boys aren't allowed to keep beard; coming late to college can result in a fine. Some faculties are not so friendly. We have a pure ragging free campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college comes under MAKUT University, which is infamous for following an outdated course curriculum, but recently the university is trying to improve it's curriculum and have introduced few new subjects whose knowledge is in high demand in the MNCs. They have also updated their exam structure to 4 Class Tests in a semester and an external final exam.
Placement Experience
The average placement is 3.5 - 4 lacs p.a and the highest is 8 lacs p.a. The placement in CS/IT department is more than 70% and for the ECE/EE department its more than 60%. No, my college don't provide any internship whatsoever.
College Events
In this section our college is very poor. They don't hold any freshers party for the new comers nor do they celebrate any fest other than Tech Fest and farewell. There is no social life in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is around 3.2 lacs for four years of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), which has to be paid in 8 semesters. The fee structure is somewhat feasible but not very feasible. The fee structure should be a little less around 2.5 lacs, taking the faculties they offer in consideration.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college don't offer any loan or scholarship facilities as per my knowledge. Yes, they offer Tution Fee Waiver (TFW) which every college offers in which the fee is reduced to half.
Campus Life
Our college is very good in this regard. They hold many sports events for both boys and girls, some of which is Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, and Badminton. We also have carrom boards in our common rooms. CS and IT department labs are good in infrastructure but ECE and EE labs are not so good in infrastructure.
Alumni/Alumna
Our college has very helpful senior students, but the alumni network is not so great. The seniors guide us in every possible way, if we approach them.
Admission
I got admission in this college from my West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) rank which was 21807. WBJEE conducts Three Counseling Rounds and a Mop Up Round (not everytime) for admission in the colleges that comes under WBJEE. I got IT Department in the Mop-up round in this College.
Faculty
The faculties f my department are great and they give their best to make their student understand everything in depth, this is the reason why our college is famous of Information Technology Department. As for other departments the faculties are also good.
