Remarks
The college accommodates a lot of broad minded individuals who give rise to a wonderful atmosphere suitable for growing and shaping each other into consummate personalities. The opportunities are ample, the infrastructure is great, the faculty is perfect, the placements need improvement.
Course Curriculum Overview
Economics hons largely relies on mathematics. It's a great course to build analytical skills in students. The Exams are more or less theoretical and obsolete in nature. Theoretical knowledge is preferred over intelligence and real time analysis.
Placement Experience
I worked at the placement cell. There are 2 placement drives every month and ample internship opportunities every year. The maximum package was 6 LPA and the stipend structure always sticks to 5k-10k per month
College Events
There is an annual fest and 4 societal fests every year. The events are divided among 23 societies which work for development of the extra curricular activities of the students and giving them the right platform to follow their passion
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible. The students are charged a sum of fourteen thousand rupees which in today's market is the cheapest one could think of. Seeing the infrastructure and quality of teaching the fees charged is no way nearly equal to the value of the services offered
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't avail anything. Students coming from a poor and downtrodden family can always approach the Principal in return to have their fees waived off. There's no other loan facility or scholarship opportunity that I'm aware of
Campus Life
Sports here isn't on the level it should be. There's a large ground with ample sports equipment but no proper teacher available. Labs are picture perfect and quality is never compromised in them. The extra curricular activities have a wide variety and offer great exposure
Alumni/Alumna
There's no alumni network, so can't comment on them. The senior students are resourceful and always guide the Juniors to perfection making them aware of the tradition prevalent and educate us with the nuances of the career oriented world.
Admission
The University releases Cutoff lists for all the college. Depending on your marks you can approach the college you seek admission in. I was eligible for Ramanujan College with a CW category relaxation. Hence I stood in a small line and got my original documents verified. After the completion of the process I was asked to pay the fees and I was successfully admitted to the college.
Faculty
Every professor teaches the subject to perfection and makes sure he's punctual and completes the subject well in advance. Their proficiency in language is also appropriate and everyone is polite in their demeanor.
