Review- [UPES], Dehradun

From my point of the only negative point is that my college has a little shortage of parking for students as my college is in the hills. Talking about positive points we have proper security guards and a small hospital. Full campus is wifi enabled.

The course curriculum of my college is fully industry orientated. After having discussions with my friends in other colleges I think my course is very unique and helpful in getting to the depth of field. The course curriculum is prepared in collaboration with IBM.

Talking about the placement of my college its 95% of students get placed in different companies. The average package being 5 lakhs per annum and the highest being 30 Lakhs per annum. Companies from different profiles visit my college be it marketing, consulting, Auditing, Security, development, and testing. Some companies that visit my college are Amazon, Samsung R&D, Samsung Informatica, Cognizant, PwC, Deloitte, etc.

Our major fest is Urjja and we have one tech fest named Ignite. Many other fests from different engineering branches like electrical and mechanical etc. Even my college has different student chapters so they organize their own fest and events.

The fee structure is moderate and most of the parents can afford to pay. Even my college provides different types of scholarships. They offer some kind of loan facility also. Even raise funds for the students who are not to pay their fees due to some financial problems.

We have scholarships like 1. If you top in the entrance exam. 2. Based on your class 12 marks. 3. If you top in your semester exam. 4. We have a list called the dean's list which comprises of the students who have done some extraordinary work in any field.

We have different clubs and societies from social works to technical work, debating societies, photography, etc. My college has all the facilities for sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and they even have a gym.

I do not stay in a campus hostel. They have different types of rooms that are Single Sharing, Double Sharing, and Triple Sharing, and meals are served at the proper time. They have facilities for indoor games and a gym in the hostel.

My college conducts regular meetups with the alumni in different cities and to interact with them and they even conduct seminars for students from seniors in which their experiences and industry knowledge so that we can prepare for the industry we are planning to work in.

Through the Entrance Exam which is conducted by the college every year in the month of May and after that on basis of result, they send you the offer letter and call us for the orientation in which they brief us about the college and courses they offer.

The faculty of my college is very good and helpful. They are highly experienced and skilled. Every faculty has their own specialized subjects in which they are the masters. The faculty here is very strict in terms of teaching and learning. Otherwise in general they are very friendly.
