College Review

The college focuses very high on placement related items and internships of the students. The college also conducts different sessions and lectures from renowned person from different fields. Intra level tournaments are also conducted for different sports and games.

The course curriculum is superb, there are ample number of labs etc where you can indulge with practical experience. Exams are conducted two times a semester with continous evaluation as a mandate on the other side as well.

Previous year the campus placement have marked 99% placement on campus. Highest package being 30 LPA average package of 8 LPA and lowest package of 4.5 LPA. Yes the college do conducts the internships for the students, it has tie up with most of the renowned companies like IBM, XEBIA, etc.

The college hosts several events which are as follows: Technical- IGNITE, CULTURAL- UURJA. And every Wednesday a cultural event is organised by the college and all the events are organised at grand scale.

The fees here is little expensive but for girls there is a scholarship of 25%, domicile of Uttrakhand also gets scholarship, student with annual CGPA of 8 and above gets 10-20% scholarship. The fees is expensive but the events, placement related activities which are conducted, all the training processes for placement etc, Industrial visits, certification courses etc are all worth the fees to be paid.

Yes, the college have the facilities of labs which are ample in count and there are different sports which the college provide and there is college team of each of them. There are different student chapters which are there in the college and conducts different internal and external events like Hackathon, Devcon, space expedition, Model UN etc.

The senior to junior relationship in this college is very appreciable in this college. There is no ragging and all in this college. Seniors are helpful and they mentor in different aspects and in different ways.

I got admission in UPES thourough the entrance exam conducted by the university. Later in the stage they arrange A counselling session as per the rank you have got, then you select the available courses at that point of time and take the admission. My reason to join this university was such that it provided 17 industry specific specialization which no other university pan India conducts, so this was the major take for me.

Faculty in UPES are very sound in their respective fields and take keen interest in teaching. They are very well qualified in their respective domains, most of them have vast area of knowledge and industry experience.
