Remarks
High fees (3 lakh per year) good placement quite easy to get an engineering degree-good scope for further studies in foreign after passing out from here.
Entrance Preview
Board merit more than 90 % in Physics, Chemistry, Maths in 12th CBSE board. There are 3 modes of admission one is the engineering entrance exam, one is board merit and also they conduct their own entrance exam you will find it extremely difficult to enter the top branches in the college but the newer branches have very less competition.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty is awesome, labs are brilliant, course structure is up to date and a very specialised for a particular application, focus on research is now increasing faculties are all post graduated from an IIT you are required to do 2 year long projects in lieu of completing your degree.
Internships Opportunities
Internship and placement are provided by college there is no stipend provided college but gives you surity of internship in good automotive company but profile might not be of your liking). The internship period is the summer break after 3rd year in this arrangement there is a very less chance that your internship will be converted to a job.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good for this course/branch it has touched 100 percent mark quite a few times and some huge companies like maruti, mahindra, honda, royal ennfield, hyundai, tata visit the campus package for most companies is 4 lakh or less, but for few OEM companies it can 5.5 or 6 lakhs too.
College Events
Urjaa is name of tech fest its on a huge scale buy you have to find sponsorship by yourself and college gives you a limited fund it has its own website. There is a tech fest called ignite also but very few colleges from outside dehradun visit to participate.
Fees and Financial Aid
Not so much but they are increasing the number of scholarship its based on your rank in the entrance exam and percentage in board but the tuition fee waiver is only about 20 % of the fee. Loans you can easily get from the banks it is tied up.In every class of 50 students about 5 may get scholarship, but for that throughout 1st year a cgpa of more than 3.5/4 has to be maintained.
Campus Life
Female to male ratio is quite low but the total female population is quite acknowledgable, extracurricular oppurtunity are ample in number there is no racism/ragging at all too many workshops are organized, but they have an exorbitant fee and they are usually not worth it student discipline body is quite strict and it takes strong action in case a person is caught for immoral behaviour.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good, rooms are spacious mess food is of good quality and a lot of variety but the fees is quite high, around 1 lakh a year for hostel, PGs are easy to find if you live near to college its quite cheap (because of the college situated near few villages on the hill) but if you wanna live near the city rent is around 3500 per month.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is quite diverse senior are helpful but, you are rarely in direct contact with alumni the college management deals with them the alumni meet is organized by placement cell every year, where the current students are not invited but many alumni help you out if yiu reach them via social media.
