Remarks

I completed my MBBS from Shridevi Institute Of Medical Sciences & Research Hospital. The college played a big role in me becoming a professional in the field as I learnt numerous things I could relate from here. Also, the faculties had good moral values which helped me become a better person too which made me quite attached to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences provides the cooled with affiliation. So, the college follows the prescribed syllabus. The syllabus is quite good and covers all the important subject required for the course. The syllabus also contains some practicals which are examined by external teachers in the viva. The exams are held once a year as the course follows a yearly-based approach.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college offers many opportunities after MBBS, the college has a good placement record. We were required to work on an internship to gain experience. We also got a fixed stipend for the internship on a monthly basis which was good as we earned during our internship.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The yearly fee for MBA was 8.5lakhs to be paid for 5 years, which also depended upon the mode of admission, for admission through the entrance the fee was quite low and moderate for Comedk students and highest for the management quota students.

Campus Life

4.5

The college has pretty good classrooms, labs and operation theatres as the college are also the home for a working hospital, so it helps students to gain more experience. The labs are well sanitised, maintained and hygienic. The college also holds regular workshops and guest lectures by top professionals.

Hostel Facilities

5

The college provides good and well-furnished hostels for both girls and boys. The hostel rooms are very much comfortable and furnished. I liked the hostels quite much, also the food served in mess is particularly taken special care of, it is both hygienic and healthy.

Admission

I got admission here via my NEET UG score. The process to take admission was quite tough and hard. I applied for counselling here based on the merit list made of scores of NEET, I successfully got a reporting letter and gave the interview which was the last step in the process of being eligible for admission. Afterwards, I filled the required documents and submitted some of my fees.

Faculty

5

Here, the teachers are quite strict but kind and gentle as well towards students. I liked the way of teachers to help weak students by working on them asking them if they understood and points and revising the topics in the next classes, which helped us study better. The teachers taught us many things apart from academics, the teachers were more research and practical oriented and help us understand the topics by providing the best relevant examples of the topics being taught.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
