Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Structure isn't nice enough because when the dates of internal tests are given by teachers, they have almost a week gap, sometimes less, due to which we have to focus on the particular subject to give test and it stretches to the almost whole semester. And There are problems regarding optional subjects. I'm in 6th sem economics honors right now, we were given 2 compulsory subjects and 2 optional, where in optional subjects other colleges normally provide atleast 3 or more than 3 subjects to choose. But we were given 2 subjects (i.e. no options) financial eco, money & financial market. And this is really disgusting that a well reputed college don't have enough faculty to provide extra subjects. We come to college so that we can study according to our speciality but if we can't study as per our skills then what is the difference between school and college.

Placement Experience

3.5

Hans Raj College provide a lot of placements and jon opportunity and recently, on 19th feb, internship fair was organised and many reputed companies were there to provide internships to students. So yes, in this field I can say that Hansraj is better. Even my own classmates got the 12lakh rs package in the last placement.

College Events

4

There are lots of events in hrC. Almost every month or even every week, events are organised. Currently fests are going on, like Food Fest, EDM nights and a lot of fun is there if we seek. There were sports events. Recently hrC won the intercollege basket ball tournament.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is reasonable as it is providing a lot of facilities. The environment is very good. In first year it was 19990 around 2nd year it was 19170 approx 3rd year it was 18700 approx It was declining annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship programs are worse because sometimes students submit the income certificates with only 60000rs annual income and even 48000 rs also. It is illogical that how a student from this annual income family can study into a big college and manage the expenses. In scholarship programs, students with honest income certificates are dominated by these ones and can't get the scholarship properly.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities are great in hrC. There are repeating workshops where Students can participate and cultural societies are very interactive. They are little expensive for a middle class (poor student) but they are, sometimes, worth it.

Alumni/Alumna

No contact to alumni for me. I don't know a lot about it because I am a introvert student. Sometimes I don't even know my all classmates' name, which is quite shameful. But yes, I have hear that for extrocert students they are always there for help to juniors.

Admission

Well, my teachers suggested this course. First I got admission in DCAC (delhi College of commerce) then in 5th cutoff I got admission in Hansraj. First of all, I wasn't thinking to choose economic honors but my tuition teacher (economic's teacher) suggested that if I have enough marks to get into the Hansraj then I must go and at that year (2017) it was already in the list of top 5 colleges therefore it attracted me more. Yeah I didn't have marks to get admission in SRCC which is everyone's dream but Hansraj is also a very good college.

Faculty

2.5

Faculties are well qualified but lack of experience. As I mentioned above there aren't enough faculties to provide optional subjects. So it is shame on education system if it can't provide enough faculties so that students can't make their skills stronger because they aren't givem their choice. We have to study what college provide. And we came here, so that we could study our choice of subjects.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
