Remarks

My college is an excellent field if anyone wants to persue the course of Arts and humanities it has an overall excellent faculty who are ever ready to help in any field and write recommendation for students who are interested and wants to further. The college maybe a little far for those staying in South by then it is quite close for people staying in the north as the metro is really close to it and it's just a 5-6 minutes walk from the station. The negative remark would be that sometimes the faculty members takes matter into their own hands and do not ask students as to how the procedure for the fees registration of course or security are to be done and causes a mayhem sometimes. Otherwise everything is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is excellent I was surprised and impressed as to how different it was from the school way of function and maybe college. Living in India it is quite different the way the syllabus and subjects are taught. The exams and labs are really flexible leaving the students a gap or a breather.

Placement Experience

4.5

As of now I did not have any opportunities yet. But I do have a friend who is planning to go abroad to Germany over the summer to do an internship as for me I am planning to focus on other fields which I would prefer not to mention as for now and I am working hard to reach my goal.

College Events

3

There are many events taking place and we recently had our fest compared to DU ( Delhi University) ours is not as big or grandeur but it has its charm and what matters is the people who came or who did it have a good time and I surely had a good time. There are moments when I feel our college may not have as big of a budget but in the end having fun with friends and a good time washes the thought away.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It depends on whether a person is from a caste or general and in a place like India which makes a huge difference the fees if the lower caste is ok whereas the general the fees is moderate or to some high.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is student welfare fund which is given to students in need of financial support and there is also reduction of fees for those who are from tribal or backward caste. I have availed the scholarship of the tribal community based discount where my fees is substantially reduce as that of the general class.

Campus Life

3.5

There are a lot of clubs like literary club, dance club, music club, sports clubs, technical clubs. These clubs organise a lot of activities throughout the semester and you will get a plenty of opportunities. Also clubs organise annual trips to some good fests in other colleges where you can represent your college.

Alumni/Alumna

I still keep in contact with them and they do come and sit down once in a while to chat as to how things are going. I do not have contacts with all my seniors but as for the once I do have they are doing their MA in our college itself and some who opted to go for other fields. I feel really blessed and happy to have such seniors where I thought ragging and bullying would be a issue but for me or anyone I know of so far and never had such kind of problems.

Admission

I got admission through ACPC Merit list. This merit list is based on GSEB 12th board marks of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (out of 300) and marks of GujCET exam. Weightage of PCM is 60% and GujCET is 40%. In this process, there is mock round first. Then there is 1st round and 2nd round of college selection. In this process, I got admission in 1st round as i got good rank(ACPC rank:275 in gujarat) in ACPC merit list.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is good and usually really opened mind and do not back out from the question the students may have. They do ask and reply as son as possible and we do have Google classroom and WhatsApp group to circulate the message or queries. There are also tutorials held if in case anyone needs extra help or a nudge to help them going in the subject.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
