Remarks

The experience of my Bachelor life has been one of the most memorable experience in my life so far because of my college. The learning experience along with the social diversity has been truly delightful. The faculty and staff have been guiding since the first day of my college and that has created a very big positive impact in my life. Altogether it was like a joyearide in a amusement park, but one cannot always stay inside that joyful place. So, as a alumni I am proud to say that my college has given me a purpose and has made me better than what I was yesterday.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was based on the Governance and Politics. It imparted knowledge about the various and diverse political systems in different countries. The examinations were held every semester with practical and theory. The college sessions held seminars where Politicians and researchers came to share their opinions and enlighten the student body with the remarks of the administration of the country. There were placements available for various government organisations who were keen on registering students of Political Science.

Placement Experience

3

There were limited sources of internships in the campus. Mostly students would opt for internships outside the campus because there were many scopes available in the city rather than in college. On an average there was 20% of campus recruitments and rest were all recruited in their personal field of choice.

College Events

4.5

There were various College festivals that were held by various departments of the college. The department festival of Political Science was known as “AVAAM”. Its highlights were seminars held by renowned Politicians and researchers. And it was accompanied by Political debates organised by the Students along with the Teachers and Lecturers. And then there was the Annual College Festival which compromised of various acts like Dance, Music, Literature and Public Speaking.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was given annually. The fee structure was different based on the caste and relaxation regulations under the Government of India. And since I belonged to OBC (other backward classes)category, i had to pay a sum of INR 8000. Whilst the students belonging to other categories such as ST (schedule tribes) and SC (schedule caste) had different schemes.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was a scholarship plan that was available and it was sponsored by the College but I did not opt for it. This scholarship criteria was mostly to provide an financial aid for the students who belonged to the poor families. It was a sigh of relief for these students to get a chance to study in a institution.

Campus Life

3

There were various students who i came across belonging to various parts of the country. It was a diverse environment with students belonging from North, South, East and Western regions of the country. There were students from foreign countries as well and it was truly a delightful experience to have come across such ethnic and diverse people. There was a slightly higher population of boys in the college because there was the sports facility which the college provided and it attracted more boys to the college.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network of the College is really strong. The seniors of my college are really helpful and they really love to interact with the juniors. They have been helpful in various aspects of life. Some of them have helped in making careers out of the juniors. I came across few of the alumnus of my college and they were very delighted and curious to know about the happenings in college after their departure. So, the College creates a strong bond between the students and the alumni which is really helpful in the future.

Admission

Admission process is through the DTE portal. It was merit based admission process. There were 3 merit round from which college is admitted improved a lot Also describe the goodExam Structure. How Good Is The good Course Structure With A Focus On ResearchWere The Exams And Labs Very Frequent Leaving bestYou With A Hectic Day Or It Was Chilled

Faculty

4

There was a rigidity in the lectures provided by the lecturers. They had the experience and conviction of the subject matter. There were tentatively 14-15 lecturers of Political Science in the College teaching various classes simultaneously. They were well qualified and had remarkable expertise in the field of Political Science.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
