Remarks

Ya. Our college was nice and everything provided here was reasonable.I love the way LSR is. But when it comes to outside living in Delhi/outside of college it's very difficult to bare the expenses, food, people from different backgrounds and mostly language,as I'm South Indian it takes some time to mingle and adjust to the conditions here.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I'm interested in it. but I didn't took any till now. In degree I took BA programme by choosing two of my interested subjects history and political science. I think BA ptogramme course useful for me as my goal for UPSC I need to explore different subjects which mostly cover in BA Programme.

Placement Experience

2.5

Actually till now I didn't get to know about any placements/internships.Its totally depends on us. They send all information in whatsapp groups. If we have patience to read all we can find the opportunities. Our college provides lot of opportunities but it totally based on us to know and find about them.

College Events

4.5

Our college celebrates all national(republic Day,independence day, teachers day), college fests(annual fest, freshers party, farewell party, department fests), related to NCC, NSS, NSO and many others which we enjoy a lot in LSR?. and many other current events like recently LGBT rights. Etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's feasible. As its public funded our fee around 15,000-20,000 presently.but government planning to make all universities privatization. In LSR everything is reasonable which I like the most in LSR.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. According to my knowledge no loan was provided. But through my friend I came to know that scholarship of about 10000-12000 was funded as scholarship by trustees if our annual income was low that showed in income certificate. But it includes process like application, interview etc.

Campus Life

4

Ya. There are many societies in our college includes MUN, Dhyana, Dance, Music, Drama societies etc. Which provides lot of opportunities in future and trains alot. But it also includes selections which needs experience about them. Sports are part of our NSO in college in which they learnt all sports freely. Labs based on our subject combination.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

No. Actually it's very difficult to get hostel seat, as it totally depends on reservation(SC and STs) but I belongs to OBC. So, I'm residing in PG. But my frnds are from hostel so, I know somewhat about it." Food was really awesome comparing to outside PGs where all varieties were provided. But hostel rooms were very small and common washrooms. "

Alumni/Alumna

Till now I didn't met any alumini. But seniors were helpful and it also depends on our communication with them. actually our college timings vary totally from one department to another and also depends on day. They were helpful but we didn't get enough time to meet and communicate with them. Again it depends on persons like some are helpful others introvert, selfish etc.

Admission

It's totally based on merit list. I came to delhi when cut off released and applied my all required documents(income, caste, birth, marks sheet,). All documents and process sholud do by our own individually. It took nearly whole one day to complete my admission.

Faculty

3

Ya. We have recruited, experienced lecturers. But till now we totally habituated to spoon feeding. But in degree it's somewhat tough for us as we have to do all by ourselves without lecturers support. They explain the matter like summary but it's useful if we research the matter deeply by our own.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
