Remarks

Admin is relatively better they don't bully students like in some colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course Curriculum is quite good although you will find that 2nd year is a little bit too hectic because of the larger portion of the syllabus. In the first year, you will learn the basics of economics and mathematics then in 2nd year you'll learn to use the economical and mathematical concepts into real data and finally in third year you learn the theoretical side of economics what have been achieved with all these methods and how does analysis work and all.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is good for serious students, those who are actually looking for placements. Many MNCs come here such as KPMG, EY, PWC etc. If the student is serious then he/she can get the placement. Internships are very good here. You can avail the internships through the college societies or you can directly fill the internship forms published by the companies.

College Events

4.5

There are many events and festivals celebrated here. They occur on departmental basis and society basis. Some festivals are very popular and students from different colleges participate in them. There are prizes for all the events organised by a department/society under its festival. In few colleges of Delhi University, Celebrities also come to perform live but not in this one unfortunately.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee in all the Delhi University Colleges is very low and very much affordable. In this college, the fee for my course was approximately 8000 rupees per year (all included). There are no additional charges for securing the admission. College provides fee breakup in the college brochure.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for any scholarship as there was no need. College fee and all was very much affordable. The only expense is accommodation

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio in my class was nice almost fifty-fifty with a little slope towards male. Students from all over India were there and one student was from Nepal as well. Sports was not that great, many few people use to take participation in sports. There were lots of competitions organised by different societies including debates. There is a debate society as well for that. Societies are good in this college.

Hostel Facilities

4

There is no hostel in this college. For accommodation, you can find PGs in Satya Niketan which is close to the college and transportation to the college from there is also very easy and cheap. Average cost per month would be 10-12 thousand rupees.

Alumni/Alumna

My seniors were really helpful and friendly people. They don't behave like seniors at all, they act like your friends, at least my seniors did.

Admission

Admission takes place through merit list which is prepared on the basis of 12th standard marks. I chose the course because of my fondness towards mathematics, this course is a merger of economics and mathematics and you will not be able to complete this course without good Maths. I chose this college because it has been in top 10 ranking for the past few years, apart from this the college location is very nice and peaceful away from traffic and crowd. To take admission you first need to fill the form of Delhi University then university will publish the cutoffs for all the colleges then you just need to check your marks, if they meet the required cutoff of the college of your choice then you just need to visit the college with the required documents. After the documentation you just need to pay the fee through online modes and your admission is secured.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of economics in this college is very good and well experienced. All the professors are really nice and helpful. Unlike some colleges, they don't bully students for attendance assignments etc. They give you ample time to finish up your assignments and also ask the class itself to decide on the dates for the internal assessment as per their convenience instead of just imposing the dates on students so that students can prepare and perform well. They happily help students by giving extra time for clearing their doubts. Faculty is really good here.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Reviewed on Oct 17, 2022(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
