Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum helped me gain wide knowledge about political systems and ideologies all over the world. It also helped me enhance my knowledge on many political issues and political history as well. Totally, it is research driven. We were taught with the help of effective examples, which made learning fun.

Course Fees: INR 6500 per year

Placement Experience

I didn't go for any internships as I was busy preparing for government job exams side by side with my graduation.

College Events

Department fest, college fest, quizzes, sports day, debating events, workshops, seminars, lectures by eminent personalities, and many other fun-filled activities. Vibrations was our annual fest, which always had eminent personalities to grace the occasion.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very much feasible. Around 5000 or 7000 a year. Yaad nahi hai sahi se. Will have to see fee receipt for the exact figures which I don't have with me right now. The place is worth all the fees though. No doubt. Quite affordable. It can be deposited by all means, offline or online.

Fees and Financial Aid

Though it was offered by college, I didn't opt for the same. So I hardly have any idea about how to avail it.

Campus Life

Everything was good. In all respects. Be it sports, debates, fests, quizzes, etc. Lectures by eminent personalities. Seminars. College trips. Everything was so effectively organised and managed. No complaints. Zero tolerance towards incidents of racism and sexual harassment.

Hostel Facilities

I live in Delhi. So never required a hostel. Though I heard that college area had some good PGs and reasonable too. Located in close proximity to the college. No difficulty in finding. Very near to the college.

External Expense: Rs. 2000 - Rs. 4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. Always reachable in any situation. Always ready to clear all your doubts of any kind. No complaints.

Admission

Admission is done on the basis of cutoff marks which basically depends upon best of 4 marks scored by you in 12th standard. If you have required marks, you are eligible for admission in that course. Different cutoff lists are put out till the seats fill up.

Faculty

Excellent. Experts. Wholesome of perfection. Everyone was an expert in his/her subject and easily cleared all our doubts. Sir ho ya Ma'am, sab badhia hai. Always helpful. Student-friendly. Always ready to help the students. They all know how to engage students and make studies interesting.

Honest review of DU SOL B.A. good for working students not for regular college experience

I choose B.A from DU SOL because the course curruculmis exactly the same as regular DU colleges which gives degree strong crediblity for UPSC goverment jobs and further studies like M.A the syllabus is coprehensive and covers core subjects like histyory, poltical science and english litreature in detail

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

BEYOND THE BOOKS COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

It's a decent college, but better than many other colleges

DU intakes admission on the basis of CUET UG exam, and then there's the reservations for all categories, so basically your admission is based on the CUET marks and reservations, and then you get a chance to make a preference list of colleges and courses and then DU allots you a seat based on your preference list and your marks as per category....Read More

Not so good Not so bad

I already know about CUET because in my school some teachers came to our school to guide us about CUET .So after my 12th i started preparing for CUET as I already fill the form before my boards on CUET SAMARTH and the application fee was around 1500 for 7 subjects and it differ how many subject u have chosen then after my boards CUET exam date has been came and admit card also a.Then I gave my exams but the exam centre were not so good they were like so far and the area around the centre was not that great.After that I fill the form for DU admission on CSAS portal and it costed around 250 for SC and I gues for general it was about 500.Then CSAS portal has three application phases 1st is for the normal application form,2nd phase is for the reservation and 3rd is for the preference filling and then u wait for the result.And in 1st round I got PGDAV but I upgraded and got Shivaji college which is near to my home and I got botany hons in that....Read More
