Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is an excellent. It is an autonomous college. Their syllabus is very useful for the reserch purpose. Some core subjects give us a industry specific knowledge. There is no campus placement as such in the college for zoology department but some specialisation subject will give you placements. There were no industrial visit organised for us.
Placement Experience
There is 0% placement for my course.Not a single student was placed last year by the department. For my department/course staff was not taking any steps for the recruitment of student.
College Events
This is the best part of the college. The well-known and participated fest is there in the college. Minimum 8 days celebration will be there. It was a great experience for all of us. 4 days are there for cultural fest and 2 days for technical / departmental fest.Everyone has this part of there memory best in there heart.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My program fee was around 4000 rs per year. It was quite feasible fee structure. We have to pay by online mode of payment. There were no additional charges to secure an admission. They provide transparency in the fee breakdown. There are concession for the other caste student. There are many scholarship you can opt for.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes. I opted for gunvant vidhyarti yojana.You can apply for the scholarship on the basis of marks or caste. If you have all the documents properly you will get scholarship or freeships.
Campus Life
One of the best campus life is there in the fergusson college. You will get to enjoy everything in the campus. There is almost 1:1 gender ratio in the campus. Most interesting part in the college is you get student diversity. Each student here is very diverse by there nature. There are a very positive vibes in the campus. I must say, it is a very liberal college.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. Hostel rooms are on the sharing basis. For the first year student you will get 3 seater rooms. You have to bring your own bedding and table fan. It was quite affordable for us to stay there but now it is so expensive to stay there. You can live in PG or private hostels
Alumni/Alumna
You will get to interact with seniors at the time of fest because they organise the fest and juniors are supposed to help them. We have alumni meet every year. So alumni experience get shared with us at that time.
Admission
I had opted for this course because I had interest in life science.This is one the topmost college for the graduation.So Fergusson was on my top list.You will get an admission according to the 12 th board marks. You have to fill the form which is available on the official website. After that they will announce the date for further processes.
Faculty
There are approximately 10 lecturers for my course.They all are of the age 30-35 and above. They all have experience of teaching. I thing they don't have any industrial experience. If there is need of an expert they will arrange the guest lectures for us.
