Course curriculum is bit out dated what I personally find, and need to be updated to ensure more practical experience is provided to students. But overall it is enough to get a well packaged job and of course industrial visit is provided to students with all cost absorbed by institutions.

Based on your financial condition, financial help is provided and over that you could apply for scholarship to support your parents more. If student's anual family income is greater than 5 lakh then one has to pay the complete fees. If the annual family income is in between 1 lakh to 5 lakh then tution fees is reduced by 2/3 and if family annual income is less than 1 lakh then there is no tution fees.

Gender ratio is 80:20 as usually is in engineering field, extracurricular is not bad you can enjoy the beauty of nature as this college is situated in valley on the bank of Alaknanda river. And you could find some good competition as well. The college campus isn't that big so that's actually a major issue.

Yes, hostel condition is really poor and each room is shared with 3 or 4. But all the facilities are available, you could bring some indoor games like carom board, chess to enjoy with friends. Hostels are equipped with internet facilities and other basic amenities.

Yes, alumni network is always helpful and beneficial to current students. They helped us for cracking interview and many other competitive examination.

Admission is done through JEE Mains. JEE mains is now two times a year one can easily apply and had to secure rank under 30000 for other state general category and upto 1 lakh is ok for students having residence in uttarakhand. This process is usually really common for all nit's.

They are very helpful and friendly in nature. They literally guided me throughout my 4 year journey and without them I couldn't succeed. The teacher to student ratio is good so a student can get better guidance for project and they also guide through the financial support as well.
