Good college for core studies

College is descent situated at very nice places. It overall is a good college.

The exam structure is easy. There is physics chemistry mathematics English and GK. All are basic 12th level questions. I have taken Power system Engineering which focuses more on thermal power plant basics and power Transmission and power distribution. There are regular Personality programs to groom the students.

The placement of the college is average. The companies which came at the time of my placement were Infosys, IBM, TCS, igate ceasefire, and many other research companies.

Uurja is an annual event celebrated every year in college. It happens anytime around Oct to Dec every year. Also every year some celebrity is called for the same and is held at the campus itself. Bidholi campus is the campus where this event is held and lies in the valley of Dehradun.

The fees structure is on the expensive side nearing 4 lacs per annum. Hostel fees are approx 2 lacs per annum. So total annual fees come out to be 6 Lacs plus local expenses to the tune of 1 lacs. Average Btech fees come out to be 30 lacs for each student in the engineering branch.

No, I didn't apply for any scholarship or education loan. It was financed personally as at my time the total fees was 2 lacs per annum.

The college had a total of 10 blocks with a total campus space of 27 acres and there were Law college design college engineering college and one specific computer science college also there was an MBA college. The annual fest was uurja and various competitions were held like Ignite.

College is not so old so the alumni circle is not that great. I was from 3 batches of my stream. But HOD is trying his best to increase the interaction.

Entrance exam UPESEAT. Generally happens in May of every year. After the entrance test, there is centralized counseling and then seats are allotted accordingly. A session generally starts from the 1st week of July. Also, the fees structure has come up to 4 lacs per year.

For my course, there were 12 professors with an average age of 38. there was one HOD of power system with one class coordinator of every semester. Dean heads the whole engineering section and there are almost 20 branches of engineering which are all headed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor.
